November 11th Grand Prix Aftermath

The November 11th Grand Prix held last weekend was marked by a strong turnout of riders and machines to the Luanda Race Track. It is now noticeable the effort of FADM (Angolan Federation of Motor Sports) for this sport in Angola, that now is clear and well defined.

This weekend was also marked by a tribute to the deceased friend Pilot Reis Cunha, there is little more than a month, victim of prolonged illness.

Monte Car Service’s 555 secured the third place from qualifying for it’s class, on a circuit where the Corolla T-Sport isn’t definitely a favorite.

The first round began at about 14:00, when the ambient temperature exceeded 40º and inside the car was around 50°centigrade. The race ran very well, with a fantastic start that put our machine in the first place for it’s class until the eighth lap, when the car began to feel some loss of power.

So as not to cause further and irreparable damage to the pump motor, the 10th lap of the first round, with a natural feeling of sadness and injustice of the whole team and especially the pilot José Gomes, the inevitable withdrawal.

Lost a battle but not the war…2013 season in preparation.
